The Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2015- (1st July 2015)

These Regulations come into operation on 1st July 2015.

 Extract from S.I. No. 243 of 2015:

 “The above Regulations provide for a revision in certain cases of the fee specified in Part A of the Fifth Schedule to the Principal Regulations in respect of an application for a Disability Access Certificate or a Revised Disability Access Certificate.

While the standard fee for an application for a Disability Access Certificate or a Revised Disability Access Certificate shall continue to be €800, a reduced fee of €500 shall apply where the application is made prior to the commencement of works and coincides with an application for a fire safety certificate, where relevant.

 Clause 2(e) of Part B of the Fifth Schedule to the Principal Regulations has also been revised to clarify that where a building control authority makes a refund in respect of an application for a Disability Access Certificate or a Revised Disability Access Certificate the refund shall not reduce the balance of the fee paid in respect of such application to less than €500.”
