The Irish Commercials is a larger warehouse with a workshop and office space so in the event of a fire people’s safety is curtail and getting them out quickly is important. With the workshop and offices within the same building it was important to ensure that they are kept separate if a fire would occur to make sure that fire can be contained within the separate parts of the building.

To make sure that people within the building can escape in the event of a fire various escape door needed to be placed around the building to allow a people to escape within enough time to escape a fire. To then reduce the risk of of fire between the warehouse and the office space was to communicate between the design team and create the layouts of both warehouse and office to be as safe as possible.

Irish Commercial Warehouse is now a fully operational warehouse that includes a seven-bay commercial workshop with a two-storey office space that is integrated into the warehouse.
