Fire Strategy Design
Pro-Fire work closely with the Design Team from an early stage in the project to develop a detailed and bespoke Fire Strategy.
We understand the importance of achieving the architectural and functional vision for the project while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations. We believe the Fire Strategy should be designed to fit the building, and not the other way around.
The Fire Strategy report will form the basis of the Certificate of Compliance (Design) for Part B of Building Regulations.
Pro-Fire are Chartered Engineers with Engineers Ireland and can provide all necessary Compliance and Ancillary Certification.
Fire Safety Certificates
Pro-Fire have successfully attained Fire Safety Certificates for over 3,000 premises throughout Ireland.
The Fire Safety Certificate application consists of a Compliance Report, which outlines compliance with Part B (Fire Safety) of Building Regulations, and detailed drawing mark-ups highlighting the fire safety elements of the building.
Pro-Fire have a good working relationship with every Building Control Authority in Ireland.
Smoke & Evacuation Modelling
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and dedicated smoke modelling software, such as Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS), can be used to quantify or validate a Fire Engineering Design for a building.
The appropriate design fire and building characteristics are programmed into the model. The software then accurately models smoke movement through a building to demonstrate a real fire scenario.
CFD is often used to highlight the benefits of a well-designed smoke control system, to examine the possible effects of over-sized compartments, or to validate a Fire Engineered solution where guidance documents do not address a specific issue.
